Kellie Martin is an American TV, film and stage performer. Her most notable roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other roles of note include the lead role in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin was able to begin her acting career in the age of seven, when her aunt who worked as an nanny to Michael Landon's children, was able to help her get her a role in the 1982 series "Father Murphy.". Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more than just a hobby. She landed significant roles on television as well as on the big screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is also a talented photographer, as well as a dancer. Her sister who passed away of Lupus at age 19, led her to becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
